Vicky Wright
Vicky Wright (b. 1967, Bolton, UK) makes work that is dense and iconoclastic, overpowering in its purpose and preoccupied — among other things — with the apparatus of power; labour and mobilization in the industrial British north; patriarchy and opportunity; and the provisional relationship between technology and the planet. Her first solo instutional show was at Bloomberg SPACE in 2009 as part of the acclaimed COMMA series and she has been the subject of five solo exhibitions at Josh Lilley since 2010. In 2018 she represented the gallery in a solo presentation at Art Basel Hong Kong.
Vicky Wright lives and works in London.
