For Frieze New York 2019 Brian Bress designed a total environment for four new single-panel works and a triptych. With cerulean side walls, an elaborate no-repeat vinyl wallpaper derived from the artist’s doodles and a sprung-feeling floor in bright white plastic, to entering the presentation was to submit to an altered state.
